Seeking GodWorship is as vital to Christian growth as air is to one's lungs. A ministry of presence, better called corporate worship, needs to be regained by today's saints. This is when God's people join together to celebrate the risen Lord! Also, intimacy in worship is enhanced when believers participate in personal worship. A quiet time is a place where a vibrant prayer life, based on God's Word, is developed. Whether personal or corporate, the goal of worship is to exist in an abiding fellowship with the Lord. Knowing GodWe equip one another to practice the faith. Each believer is challenged to allow the spirit of God to cultivate an ever-deepening walk with the Lord. The steps of this process include learning to apply spiritual disciplines as well as digesting church doctrine. We encourage each member to read the Bible and study it with other Christians in a small group. Our behavior is impacted by our beliefs. Serving GodWe expect each member to join us in ministering through his or her spiritual gifts and financial resources. God has designed each believer with spiritual gifts, passion/enthusiasm, and relational styles. Members benefit the body of Christ when they are ministering out of their strengths. Church ministry should equal Christian ministry. God uses the total church to grow Christians in faith and service. Inviting OthersWe are to passionately share the Gospel. Churches and programs do not reach people. People reach people. Biblical evangelism is personal. This means every believer has the duty to share his or her faith with others. Biblical evangelism is intentional. Imagine if every church member were passionate and focused about telling others about Jesus. Biblical evangelism is relational. We are to share the claims of Christ along the lines of relationship. It is an "as you go" mentality. Our church is committed to passionately sharing the gospel. Loving One AnotherWe strengthen one another through caring relationships. Everybody is somebody in Christ's body. The Sunday School is our primary place for every member to discover strength, concern, support, and personal care. It is common for believers who study God's Word together on a regular basis to become immediate and life-long friends. |
